St Petersburg is no honky-tonk hell, and neon is rare. Tucked into and part of the strip-mall sprawl of post-war 4th St N, El Cap is a local favorite (as determined by informal polling). I don’t eat meat or drink beer, so I have never been in there, but the sign is nice. You have to take your landmarks where you find them, I suppose.
